Sounds Musical Theatre Company
Since August of 2024, Phillip has been the musical director for Sounds Musical Theatre Company based in Plymouth. His first production with them was their debut pantomime of Dick Whittington, which proved highly successful. This was followed swiftly by their next big production of The Witches of Eastwick, performed in June of 2025 at the Devonport Playhouse, receiving highly positive reviews from audience members and NODA representatives alike. After the success of their first pantomime, it was decided to put on another, this time to the flavour of Cinderella, which will be performed in November of 2025. SMTC’s next big production is The Great British Bake Off Musical in May of 2025, for which Phillip has been asked to MD again.
The Sir Joshua Reynolds Choir
As well as SMTC, Phillip has also recently taken over as MD for The Sir Joshua Reynolds Choir after their previous MD, Jenny George, decided to step down after 28 years. This choir has a long-standing history and a large repertoire of works and pieces that have been performed over the years. Phillip’s first concert with them will be their Christmas concert in December of 2025. The choir is always on the lookout for new members, particularly tenors and basses.
