UGLY!
A modernised retelling of The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen, UGLY! tells the story of Ugly, a baby ostrich, who dreams of being on the West End. Despite having a beautiful singing voice, Ugly is constantly pushed back and let down by her 'different' appearance.
Feeling deflated from the abuse she receives from her farmyard family, Ugly leaves to find others like her. On her way to stardom, she meets Slippy, a toad, as well as other 'vermin' animals. They teach her, that her appearance is merely a shell and that true beauty comes from within.

She also meets Foxy Le Rouge, a cunning fox-come-agent, who, despite thinking she's found her next meal, decides to help Ugly become a great West End star.
